MyTrueBlinds Installation Policy

Last Updated: September 16, 2026

This Installation Policy explains the general terms that apply when installation services are provided by MyTrueBlinds, an independent installer, or an authorized installation partner.

1. Installation Services

Installation may be performed by:

  • MyTrueBlinds personnel
  • Independent installers
  • Authorized installation partners
  • Other qualified service providers

The installer assigned to a project may vary depending on location, product, availability, scheduling, and project requirements.

2. Installation Scheduling

Installation appointments are scheduled after the products are available and the installation requirements can reasonably be confirmed.

Estimated installation dates are not guaranteed unless MyTrueBlinds specifically provides a guaranteed date in writing.

Scheduling may be affected by:

  • Product availability
  • Manufacturing delays
  • Shipping delays
  • Installer availability
  • Customer availability
  • Weather
  • Site conditions
  • Access issues
  • Other circumstances outside reasonable control

3. Customer Responsibilities

Before installation, the customer is responsible for:

  • Providing reasonable access to the installation area.
  • Removing personal items that interfere with installation.
  • Advising the installer of known hazards or unusual conditions.
  • Providing access to required electrical outlets when applicable.
  • Ensuring that required permissions or property approvals have been obtained.
  • Ensuring that pets and other animals are safely secured.
  • Being available or having an authorized person available when required.

Customers should identify known structural, electrical, plumbing, or other conditions that may affect installation.

4. Installation Conditions

Installers may determine that installation cannot safely proceed because of conditions such as:

  • Unsafe access
  • Structural concerns
  • Damaged walls, ceilings, window frames, or trim
  • Obstructions
  • Electrical hazards
  • Plumbing or utility concerns
  • Inaccessible installation areas
  • Conditions that differ materially from the information provided
  • Other conditions that could create an unreasonable safety or property risk

When reasonably possible, the installer may recommend a solution or reschedule the installation.

Additional charges may apply when conditions require work outside the originally agreed installation scope.

5. Customer Measurements

If the customer provides measurements, the customer remains responsible for those measurements unless MyTrueBlinds has separately provided a measurement service or measurement guarantee.

Installation does not automatically transfer responsibility for customer-provided measurements to MyTrueBlinds or the installer.

Measurement-related issues are governed by the MyTrueBlinds Measurement Policy.

6. Installation Damage or Issues

If a customer believes installation caused damage or resulted in an installation-related problem, the customer should notify MyTrueBlinds as soon as reasonably possible.

Customers should provide photographs, video, or other information when requested so the issue can be evaluated.

MyTrueBlinds may coordinate with the installer or other service provider to investigate and resolve the issue.

7. Product Damage Discovered During Installation

If a product is discovered to be damaged, defective, incorrectly manufactured, or otherwise unsuitable during installation, the installer may stop installation of the affected item when reasonably necessary.

MyTrueBlinds may arrange for:

  • Replacement components
  • Replacement product
  • Repair
  • Rescheduling
  • Additional service
  • Another appropriate resolution

The applicable Warranty Policy and Refunds, Returns & Cancellations Policy will govern qualifying product issues.

8. Installation of Customer-Supplied Products

MyTrueBlinds or its installers may decline to install products that were not purchased through MyTrueBlinds.

If installation of customer-supplied products is accepted, additional terms, limitations, or charges may apply.

9. Rescheduling

An installation appointment may need to be rescheduled because of:

  • Customer unavailability
  • Unsafe conditions
  • Product availability
  • Weather
  • Installer availability
  • Access problems
  • Site conditions
  • Other circumstances affecting the installation

Repeated customer-caused rescheduling may result in additional charges.

10. Customer-Performed Installation

Customers who install products themselves are responsible for following applicable installation instructions.

Damage caused by improper installation may not be covered by the product warranty.

Customers should contact MyTrueBlinds before modifying a product or installation method when they are uncertain about proper installation.

11. Motorized Products

Motorized and smart products may require additional installation considerations.

Depending on the product, installation may involve:

  • Electrical power
  • Battery installation
  • Remote controls
  • Hubs
  • Smart-home equipment
  • Wi-Fi or other network connectivity
  • Manufacturer-specific setup

Third-party smart-home systems and network equipment are not automatically covered by the MyTrueBlinds product warranty.

12. Property Conditions

MyTrueBlinds and its installers are not responsible for pre-existing or concealed conditions that could not reasonably be identified before or during installation.

Examples may include:

  • Hidden wiring
  • Hidden plumbing
  • Structural deficiencies
  • Weak or damaged mounting surfaces
  • Existing property damage
  • Improper previous installation
  • Other concealed conditions

Customers are responsible for notifying the installer of known conditions that could affect installation.

13. Installation Warranty

Installation services may be subject to a separate installation warranty or service commitment when specifically provided.

The standard product warranty does not automatically cover installation labor, removal, reinstallation, travel, or property repairs.

14. Removal and Reinstallation

Unless specifically included in the order or installation agreement, installation pricing does not automatically include:

  • Removal of existing window coverings
  • Disposal of old products
  • Moving furniture
  • Property repairs
  • Reinstallation
  • Additional installation visits

Additional charges may apply when these services are requested or required.

15. Changes to Installation

Changes requested after installation has been scheduled may affect:

  • Installation timing
  • Availability
  • Pricing
  • Labor requirements
  • Travel charges
  • Product compatibility

Changes to the underlying custom product are also subject to the 24-hour order change and cancellation period.

After that period, custom product changes generally cannot be made unless approved by MyTrueBlinds in writing or otherwise required by law.

16. Satisfaction Exchanges and Installation

A qualifying 3-day satisfaction exchange is separate from installation services.

If a customer receives an approved satisfaction exchange, removal and reinstallation of the affected products are not automatically included.

Additional installation or service charges may apply unless MyTrueBlinds agrees otherwise in writing.

The satisfaction exchange is limited to one exchange per order and a maximum of 5 window coverings, subject to the Refunds, Returns & Cancellations Policy.

17. Delivery and Initial Inspection

Customers should inspect products promptly after delivery.

Visible damage, incorrect products, missing components, incorrect quantities, or other issues reasonably discoverable during initial inspection should be reported within 7 calendar days after delivery.

Installation does not eliminate the customer’s responsibility to promptly report reasonably discoverable delivery issues.

Defects that could not reasonably be discovered during initial inspection may remain subject to the applicable warranty.

18. Changes to This Policy

MyTrueBlinds may update this Installation Policy from time to time.

The current version will be posted on the Website with an updated date.
